Nintendo recently said that fans shouldn't expect a new Nintendo console within this next fiscal year, meaning it won't come until some time after March 2024. There are times when fans are treated to more substantial Switch updates, but with the console nearing the end of its lifespan, those are likely to become even rarer occurrences. These kinds of small Nintendo Switch system updates are not exactly uncommon, and Nintendo never reveals what they do behind stability improvements. The patch notes for the new Nintendo Switch console update are brief, stating only that the patch has made "general system stability improvements to enhance the user's experience."
